Hudson Labs creates AI-driven software for institutional finance, helping investors and insurers analyze public company disclosures. Founded in 2019, we're a Y Combinator company building the first financial services application fully powered by LLMs.
The Role
We're looking for a freelance UX designer to direct UX strategy across our product suite. You'll work closely with our engineering team to design, iterate, and ship features that serve institutional investors, analysts, and risk professionals.
Commitment: ~25 hours per week Compensation: Fixed fee or hourly (flexible based on experience) In-person: 1 day/week at our Toronto office (100 University Ave)
What You'll Do
- Direct UX strategy for new and existing products
- Design features and product interfaces for our AI-powered research platform
- Develop brand assets and marketing collateral
- Iterate quickly with the team and ship improvements
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure design fidelity in production
What We're Looking For
- Ability to learn quickly in fast-moving environments
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and ship with speed
- Proficiency with modern AI design tools (Figma, Cursor, etc.)
- Available in-person 1 day/week in downtown Toronto
Nice to Have
Prior experience in institutional finance or capital markets
Familiarity with data-heavy interfaces and dashboard design
Experience designing for B2B SaaS products
